What is your absence policy?

Student tuition is paid in order to reserve a guaranteed space and teacher for a specific time each week, and, therefore, tuition must be paid regardless of the attendance of the student. If an absence is unavoidable, please contact the Lessons Coordinator as soon as possible.

BSOM will bank one absence per semester (Jan-Jun, Jul-Dec) with 24 hours notice (a “banked lesson” is a guaranteed make-up lesson). A banked lesson expires 14 days after the original lesson date. Although we try to accommodate other make-up requests, additional banked lessons are not guaranteed. A video lesson will be recorded when make-ups cannot be accommodated.

What are your holiday closures?

BSOM observes and will be closed on the following holidays below. If your lesson falls on any of these days, the monthly tuition will be adjusted:

If you need to contact an instructor or cancel a lesson, please email our Lessons Coordinator: Email: [email protected] Text or Call the store at (888) 780-1812 and ask for the Lessons Coordinator.

What happens if I miss my lesson?

If the student has not arrived within the first 10 minutes of the lesson, the lesson is considered a no call, no show. The teacher will record a personalized video for the student that will serve as their lesson that week.

If the student becomes ill and is unable to attend their lesson, please contact the Lessons Coordinator so we can work to make the best accommodation for you.

What is the best age to start music lessons?

We offer lessons from age 5 to 125. It's never too early or to late to learn music.

What if i am going to be away on vacation?

We are able to accommodate pre-planned absences (ie: vacation) with at least two weeks’ notice. This accommodation will be in the form of a banked lesson or the recording of a video lesson. If you are planning for an extended absence (longer than two weeks off), tuition must still be paid on a monthly basis to reserve your time and teacher. If you choose to suspend lessons, the original appointment time and teacher cannot be guaranteed upon return.

What instruments do you teach?

We teach all Band & Orchestra instruments along with Guitar, Piano, Voice, Ukulele, & more!
