John Roberds - Road Representative

John was born in San Jacinto, a very small town not far from here. His father played violin and taught all members of the family to play an instrument. A family orchestra was formed and preformed locally and the small income generated kept food on the table during the Great Depression. John attended local schools and after a stint in the Marine Corp he attended UC Santa Barbara where he received a BA in Music and his teaching credential. He studied under Maurice Faulkner and was bass trombonist with the Santa Barbara Symphony. He then earned a masters Degree at UCLA. John taught instrumental music for 38 years in California schools before retiring in 1999.

Retirement was boring, so he decided to call up John Bertrand, hoping that he would remember him from his teaching days and beg for a job. John has been a road rep for Bertrand’s for years. Having known John Bertrand for so many years and having trust in John’s service to him and his students, it has made it very easy for him to represent John Bertrand and his company.
