Luke Diebolt - Lessons Coordinator
Born and raised in San Diego, Luke started his musical career at a young age. After discovering that the violin wasn't his instrument, Luke quickly learned that low brass was where he belonged. He started playing tuba in 6th grade at Bernardo Heights middle school. He went to Rancho Bernardo High School and participated in All-Southern and All-State Honor Band and Orchestra.
After high school, Luke attended UCLA and graduated with a double major in Tuba Performance and Music Education. While at UCLA, Luke played in the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia, Brass Choir and many small brass ensembles.
In the summer of 2007, you might have seen Luke performing at Disneyland. He was the one in the male cheerleader outfit dancing around with a sousaphone and performed five sets a day at various locations throughout the park.
Luke has been working at Bertrand's since 2009 and teaches both privately and at various schools throughout the city of San Diego.
